ACCC-FASN 2025 Organising Team

Eyrún Gyða Gunnlaugsdóttir

I am a PhD researcher at the University of Helsinki, INAR, working in the Micrometeorology group. The focus of my research is on ecosystem atmospheric exchange of greenhouse gases in peatlands.

Ali Kooh Andaz

I’m a PhD researcher at Tampere University and teaching assistant in the aerosol physics course. My research focuses on analyzing aerosol behavior, from CFD simulations of particle deposition and dispersion in small-scale environments such as ventilation ducts (using OpenFOAM) to LES modeling of large-scale scenarios for analyzing the dispersion of traffic emissions and their impact on air quality in residential areas (using PALM).

Neha Deot

I am a PhD researcher at the University of Helsinki, INAR, working in the Aerosol Formation group. The focus of my research is on investigating the physical and chemical characteristics of new particle formation (NPF) in Cyprus.

Marta Fregona

I am a doctoral researcher in the Micrometeorology group at the University of Helsinki. My research focuses on modeling thermal and greenhouse gas dynamics in lakes.

Kasper Juurikkala

I am a PhD worker at the Finnish Meteorological Institute. I am working with atmospheric models from LES to global scale models. My research focuses on ice nucleation and the climate representation of cirrus clouds.

Outi Kinnunen

I am a researcher at the Finnish Meteorological Institute and a doctoral student in atmospheric science at the University of Helsinki. I work on process-based ecosystem modelling. My research topic is the impact of wildfires on the carbon cycle in Northern Europe.

Ilona Kivimäki

I am a PhD researcher at the University of Helsinki, focusing on developing the Stations Measuring Earth Surface–Atmosphere Relations (SMEAR) concept for global implementation and exploring its commercialization potential.

Delun Li

At Finnish Meteorological Institute, I focus on aerosol composition and measurement, particularly brown and black carbon. I recently started my PhD studies, expanding into these areas while beginning to explore light-absorbing particles (LAP) in snow.

Iida Pullinen

I am a researcher and project co-ordinator in the Aerosol Physics Research Group at the University of Eastern Finland. My research interests include the properties and formation of biogenic aerosol, and how changes in ecosystems may be reflected in the aerosols.

Tero Siili

I am since April 2021 research coordinator for the Finnish Meteorological Institute’s ACCC Flagship activities and also contribute to the joint operations of the ACCC. Before ACCC I have worked among others in various fields of research, research support and in education & training.

Mianzhi Wang

I am a doctoral researcher in tree ecophysiology at the University of Helsinki. My current research focuses on plant water relations and stem activity, with a particular interest in sap flow, dendrometers, and modelling techniques.

Ilona Ylivinkka

I am a postdoctoral researcher from University of Helsinki, INAR, working at Hyytiälä Forest Station. My research focuses on ecosystem-atmosphere interactions and VOC measurements.
