UNFCCC international climate negotiations, COP29, are going on in Baku, Azerbaijan, 11.-22.11.2024.
ACCC is on site by two researchers, university lecturer Laura Riuttanen from the University of Helsinki and associate professor Yulia Yamineva from the University of Eastern Finland.
On Friday 15.11., University of Helsinki organised a round table on “How to build a climate-competent society? Case Finland”, with participants from the city of Helsinki, ministry of education and culture of Finland, Carbon neutral cities alliance, Education cannot wait foundation and Finnish climate youth delegate. We presented ClimComp research outputs and policy recommendations as well as related education initiatives Climate University, Specialisation programme in climate expertise, virtual exchanges Cluvex and UnaVEx, Una Europa Micro-Credential in Sustainability and Climademy.
