Yliopiston tutkijoiden ty\u00f6 keskittyy pienten hiukkasten mittaamiseen sek\u00e4 mittausmenetelmien yhdenmukaisuuden kehitt\u00e4miseen muun muassa p\u00e4\u00e4st\u00f6jen laboratoriomittausten ja todellisten ilmakeh\u00e4olosuhteiden v\u00e4lill\u00e4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kunnianhimoiset tavoitteet ilmastonmuutoksen hidastamiseksi ja ilmanlaadun parantamiseksi ovat arkea energia-alalla, meriliikenteess\u00e4, ilmailussa ja ty\u00f6koneiden kehittelyss\u00e4. Uudet moottorit, polttoaineet ja pakokaasujen j\u00e4lkik\u00e4sittelytekniikat tuottavat v\u00e4hemm\u00e4n p\u00e4\u00e4st\u00f6j\u00e4, mutta niiden tarkka mittaaminen on haastavaa.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>METECH-hanke kehitt\u00e4\u00e4 tarkkoja p\u00e4\u00e4st\u00f6mittausmenetelmi\u00e4, joilla voidaan luotettavasti mitata ilmanlaadun ja ilmaston kannalta haitallisia kaasumaisia ja hiukkasmaisia ep\u00e4puhtauksia. Kehitett\u00e4vien p\u00e4\u00e4st\u00f6mittausten on toimittava haastavissa kentt\u00e4olosuhteissa laboratorioiden lis\u00e4ksi.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tampereen yliopiston aerosolifysiikan laboratorion tutkijat keskittyv\u00e4t hankkeessa erityisesti hiukkasp\u00e4\u00e4st\u00f6jen mittausmenetelmiin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 Erityisen\u00e4 tutkimuskohteena tutkijoillamme on pienten hiukkasten mittaaminen. T\u00e4h\u00e4n liittyy vahvasti kaasu-hiukkasmuuntuman merkityksen ymm\u00e4rt\u00e4minen sek\u00e4 sekund\u00e4\u00e4risen hiukkasmuodostuksen ilmi\u00f6t, sanoo Aerosolifysiikan laboratorion johtaja, professori <strong>Topi R\u00f6nkk\u00f6<\/strong> Tampereen yliopistosta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kolmevuotisen METECH-hankkeen budjetti on 1,6 miljoonaa euroa.
