Kaivokset sijaitsevat esimerkiksi Yhdysvalloissa, Chiless\u00e4, Perussa, Meksikossa ja Sambiassa. Tutkittujen kaivosten typenoksidip\u00e4\u00e4st\u00f6t ovat p\u00e4\u00e4osin per\u00e4isin kaivosalueilla liikkuvista dieselk\u00e4ytt\u00f6isist\u00e4 ajoneuvoista.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tutkimuksessa k\u00e4ytettiin eurooppalaisen Sentinel-5P-satelliitin kyydiss\u00e4 olevan TROPOMI-mittalaiteen tuottamia typpidioksidihavaintoja.
